Integrating Polystyle Into Visual SlickEdit
Add Polystyle to the Windows PATH environment variable
- Click Start -> Control Panel -> System -> Advanced -> Environment Variables
- Scroll to the Path variable and click Edit
- Assuming you installed Polystyle in C:\Program Files\Polystyle add:
...to the start of the Path variable's value.
- Test that you can run Polystyle on the command line. Click the Start button,
click Run. Enter command in the dropdown and click OK.
At the prompt, type:
Load the Polystyle macro file
- Open c:\Program Files\Polystyle\slickedit-integration\polystyle.e
- Press F12 to load the macro into Visual SlickEdit
Add a keybinding so you can invoke Polystyle using CTRL + T
- Click Tools -> Configuration -> Key Bindings...
- Type Polystyle in the text box
- Click "Add Key or Mouse Click..."
- Press CTRL + T
- Click "Bind"
You may now invoke Polystyle two ways
- Using CTRL + T
- By pressing ESC and typing polystyle
